Christine Rollitt trained in Fine Art Painting and works in oils, watercolour, gouache and mixed media but her main medium for expression is stitched textiles combined with painted surfaces. She moved into stitched textiles and completed City and Guilds Part One and Two courses before teaching creative stitched textiles in London venues.

Christine is a member of the Society for Embroidered Work (SEW) and the Embroiderers Guild.

Born in Nottingham, Christine attended Queen Elizabeth I Grammar School, Alford, Lincolnshire. Her Foundation Art was completed at Grimsby College of Art and Technology. She gained an honours degree in Fine Art at Kingston School of Art and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education at Middlesex University.
